Hudson Regional Health Commission is seeking a full-time Pest Control Technician for seasonal employment of 32.5 hours per week from May through November. The position falls under the supervision of the Hudson Regional Mosquito Control Program and will conduct spotted lanternfly control throughout Hudson County, including but not limited to applying pesticides, maintaining pesticide records, and interacting with the public. Does related work as required. Will be working outdoors all weather conditions. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a clean driving record and be able to lift and carry 40 lbs. minimum.
EDUCATION: Applicants must possess a valid Commercial Pesticide Applicator or Operator license from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Certification in Category 3A preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience as licensed pest control technician.
STARTING SALARY: $22.19/hr.
