NJ WORKER AND COMMUNITY
RIGHT TO KNOW ACT

The NJ Worker and Community Right Know Act went into effect August 29, 1984. The purpose of the Act is to give employees and the general public access to information about hazardous substances to which they may have been exposed.

In 1984 the Commission was designated RTK Lead Agency by the NJ State Department of Health HRHC’s Primary Responsibility is to:
  • Provide workplace and environmental surveys, hazardous substance fact sheets and all information available to employees, and the public, upon request.
