The Commission is charged with enforcing both state and local noise control regulations. These regulations are designed to limit noise disturbances generated by fixed facilities and a variety of other disturbances. The Commission investigates all complaints on a 24 hour basis. HRHC is represented on the NJ Noise Control Council and participated with the NJDEP and Rutgers University to revise the New Jersey State Noise Code and the Model Noise Control Ordinance.
